“MKDA’s reputation as a leading firm in landlord services has been earned for good reason. The team possesses the rare ability in providing both outstanding design and on-site technical skills. They are one of our advocates and trusted advisor.” Matthew Holst, Fisher Brothers Managing Director, Architecture and Construction
Working on behalf of Fisher Brothers, MKDA offered project management services for the world-class amenity center at 1345 Avenue of the Americas. The project team collaborated with the Rockwell Group to transform the building’s previously unused basement into a breathtaking oasis for tenants, which includes conference rooms with the ability to hold 200 people, coworking and lounge space, a fully-stocked cafe, and an array of greenery from a garden wall to a life-size terrarium. The high-end finishes and human-centric nature of the space creates a distinct hospitality experience, which blurs the line between work and recreation.
MKDA worked closely with the owners and consultants to provide feasibility studies and extensive construction administration services in order to execute many of these bold design concepts. Utilizing their strong grasp of both the design and construction phases, the team devised a number of creative solutions to technical challenges posed by the initial design. The end result is a breathtaking space that can both inspire creativity and productivity while also establishing a soothing backdrop that promotes wellness among its users.
