MKDA provided the full scope of design services and devised a new workplace for this prestigious multinational law firm, spanning 130,000 square feet across four floors. The design concept embraces the client’s vision of modern elegance, which seamlessly integrates both classical and contemporary undertones. This is evident in the space’s open and airy atmosphere, featuring an abundance of glass combined with high-end finishes such as a luxurious marble motif complemented by warm woods. Notably, the project team hand-selected two monumental marble slabs for the reception area, weighing an impressive total of 1,200 pounds and ranging 20 feet. This stone theme is also prominently displayed in the employee lounges and private offices to match other locations’ standards.
The layout maintains a careful balance between a traditional law office setup—with uniformly sized private offices along the perimeter for lawyers and interior offices for administrative staff—and more progressive elements that prioritize equity and collaboration.More specifically, MKDA meticulously planned and programmed each floor to accommodate the firm’s operational needs, with carefully curated spaces such as employee lounges, flex space, open collaboration areas, and cafes outfitted with catering kitchens and buffet service.
One noteworthy employee lounge incorporates custom details like a built-in fireplace, intricate millwork, gaming tables and a putting green. The striking coffered ceiling with integrated lighting enhances the rich wood tones and tailored finishes, evoking the ambiance of a refined library or study. An array of seating options—including sculpted lounge chairs, mid-century-inspired dining chairs, and barstool seating – offers flexibility for quiet retreats and social gatherings in a sophisticated yet inviting setting.
The 31st floor serves as the heart of collaboration, featuring high-end amenities. It houses expansive conference and meeting rooms, stylish lounges, and a versatile multipurpose space for training and events.The main boardroom, designed to accommodate up to 50 people, provides a polished environment suited for high-level discussions and presentations. In addition, private phone rooms ensure a peaceful environment for confidential conversations or quick breaks. This floor redefines the workplace experience, enhancing both productivity and well-being.
