At MKDA, we believe that creating meaningful change starts with empowering communities. This belief drives our commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen lives and inspire hope. That’s why we are proud to support and celebrate the opening of the UJA-Federation Brooklyn Hub—a transformative, one-stop social service center located between Bensonhurst and Boro Park. This 13,000-square-foot facility, operated in partnership with Met Council, is designed to serve as a beacon of support for two neighborhoods that experience some of the highest levels of Jewish poverty in New York City.
The Brooklyn Hub exemplifies UJA-Federation’s innovative approach to addressing poverty with dignity and compassion. By offering comprehensive, client-centered services under one roof, the Hub empowers individuals and families to overcome challenges and build brighter futures.
The facility is expected to assist thousands of people each month, providing critical resources such as career counseling, financial planning, and immediate relief through its groundbreaking on-site food pantry system.
At MKDA, community support is not just a commitment but a heartfelt mission. This dedication shines through the ongoing efforts of CEO Michael Kleinberg and Partner Jeffrey Kleinberg. Most recently, Michael demonstrated this passion as a major donor to the UJA-Federation Brooklyn Hub, honoring the legacy of his parents, Milo and Bertha Kleinberg.
His generous support underscores his dedication to fostering stronger, more connected communities and creating meaningful opportunities for those in need, reflecting a legacy rooted in his family’s values.
As Thanksgiving approaches, we’re reminded of the importance of giving back. We’re grateful to UJA-Federation, Met Council, and everyone involved in making this impactful project a reality.
Together, we’re not just supporting a building—we’re helping to create brighter futures and stronger communities.
