MKDA created a timeless, boutique workspace at 111 Broadway for a prestigious sports organization, which honors its rich, 88-year legacy. The team’s approach centered on upholding the company’s traditional values while infusing a contemporary edge with subtle sports motifs throughout the workplace. The space, therefore, features a primarily neutral color palette with a mixture of dark and light woods, turf green accents, and varying shades of gray.
The layout encompasses key functional areas including a reception space, a boardroom that can accommodate up to 20 individuals, two private offices, a pantry, and a dedicated trophy showcase area. MKDA preserved much of the building’s existing Neo-Gothic architectural details such as soaring 20-foot-high ceilings, arched corridors, and traces of ornate, stained glass. The team also refurbished the existing reception desk with leather panels and a sleek stone top, which serves as a focal point and elegantly complements the handsome wood paneling. Herringbone flooring, glass office fronts, and custom cabinetry further accentuate the space’s blend of traditional charm and modern functionality.
