“28 Liberty has become one of the city’s premier destinations for events, and we are excited to expand our offerings with this extraordinary and flexible new space,” said Jason Berkeley, Four Trees COO and Fosun Hive Holdings partner.
MKDA has unveiled Halo, a dynamic and versatile event venue at 28 Liberty Street. Named for its unique circular design, Halo spans an impressive 30,000 square feet and was meticulously planned to accommodate a wide variety of events with a capacity for up to 750 guests. At the heart of our design concept lies the circle, a profound symbol representing unity, wholeness, and the cyclical nature of life. This emblematic motif is integrated into various design elements, including a moon gate-inspired bar and a striking sunken fountain. The fountain serves as the venue’s centerpiece, promoting smooth circulation and doubling as a screen for digital projections. Duality and balance are reflected in the venue’s dynamic black ceilings, complemented by soothing light finishes.
MKDA prioritized flexibility in its design, which is enhanced by soaring 16-foot ceilings and a state-of-the-art rigging system that empowers event planners to bring their creative visions to life. Adjustable lighting and acoustic panels ensure the venue can be tailored to the mood and sound quality needed for any event. Movable partitions allow the space to be easily divided based on event size and layout, while strategically placed AV equipment and optimized lighting and sound equipment placement offer unparalleled functionality. In addition, efficient HVAC systems and dedicated support areas – including food prep stations, storage, staff rooms, and restrooms – promote a seamless experience for both event staff and attendees.
