MKDA performed a new office buildout for ONS Stamford, a group of orthopedics specialists, with a focus on crafting an open, collaborative environment for patients and personnel. The project team aimed to promote wellbeing and serenity without sacrificing its core functionality. Aesthetically, this vision translated into a biophilic design concept, which features custom white oak millwork and scattered greenery against a primarily neutral backdrop to usher in natural light. Strong angular lines enhance the overall look and feel of the space, stimulating visual interest and forming multiple cozy nooks in the reception and kitchen area.

The plan incorporates a combination of workstations, benching, and private offices to cover the practice’s fluctuating work needs and schedules. MKDA also created multiple communal areas such as an inviting cafe alongside reception, state-of-the-art conference rooms, and comfortable breakout space for informal collaboration and relaxation.
